Gifts of Stock
Giving long-term appreciated stock offers two-fold tax savings. First, no capital gains tax is paid on the increase in the value of your stock. Second, you will receive a tax deduction for the full fair market value of the stock on the date of the transfer (the date the stocks are received in the parish school account).
When filling out the following form we kindly ask you to do the following:
- Indicate the stock is to benefit – St. John of the Cross Parish School Annual Fund.
- Please also contact Alina Grela, Parish Business Manager, who will notify the Archdiocese of the gift and this will ensure that it is allocated to the correct account.
